Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this universal double click-in parallel mounting offset plate for the Exposed Rack's crossbars. Now, this accessory mounting plate will let you attach rooftop accessories to your Exposed Rack's multifunctional crossbar system, has the offset holes. This is designed to work with rooftop cargo carriers, bike carriers, or other rooftop accessories. You can see it uses two posts that'll mount parallel on either the 40 inch long or the 48 inch long multi-function crossbars with the side offset holes to give you a nice strong attachment point. Now, at the end of this video, I'm going to show you how this installs into the crossbar.
This does use the push pin system right here. You just push in on that, allows for a nice, easy one-handed installation. It does offer quick mounting and removal, makes it very easy to swap out your accessories daily. The very top right up here has the silicone washers on both of these, so when it does install into the crossbars, it makes a nice snug fit when it installs. This plate is a heavy-duty carbon steel construction, has a nice black powder coat finish to resist corrosion. You can see I've installed it into the slots.
It does include the stainless steel mounting hardware for use with your accessories, and this part is made in the USA. A few specs on this. This plate is going to be right about 16 inches long and right at about three inches wide.So what I'm going to do now is we'll zoom out some, and I'm going to pull one of those crossbars, and here's one of the Exposed Rack's crossbars. This one happens to be the 48 inch long one, and you can see the end holes are the offset holes. So they're about six inches apart, roughly, so that's what this is designed to fit into.
You can see when you go to push install this, you have the push pins right here. You just push it on both of those pins. And when you do that, it'll slide right in, go down, and when it goes down far enough, that pin will pop out and you can see it locks it into place. And then to remove it again, you just push in on both of those pins and bars not attached, so just like that, you can slide it right out, or you can put it on this end if you like same way, flip it around either way, but that should do it for the review on the universal double click-in parallel mounting offset plate for the Exposed Rack crossbars..
