From Blacksmith Shop to Your Shop

A legacy of helping neighbors, forged by hand and passed down through generations. Our story began in the late 1800s, when Theodore Bross opened a blacksmith shop in Flint Hill, Missouri - a place where people came for practical solutions and honest help. In 1920, his son Henry took over and opened the Flint Hill Garage, keeping the same small-shop spirit and neighborly care alive. By 1946, Henry’s vision expanded into a full-service station and RV park. He saw a growing need for reliable parts, personal service, and fair prices—and began building what would become a regional destination for outdoor and towing enthusiasts. As customer needs grew, so did we. In 1976, we opened a large showroom and installation center that attracted customers from all over the Midwest. And in the 1990s, we brought our expertise online with etrailer.com - so we could help even more people, from every corner of the country.Today, etrailer is still family-run, and still driven by the same values: be hands-on, be helpful, and treat every customer like a neighbor. We’ve added videos, install guides, expert advice, and faster shipping - but we’ve never let go of our roots.Because whether it’s a horse-drawn wagon or a 40-foot RV, one thing has never changed: we’re here to help you get where you're going - with confidence.

“We wish we'd bought this years ago. I do a lot of the mowing and handling the trailer ramp/tailgate is hard on my back and shoulder. I like the ease of etrailer’s website and appreciated the video on the installation. We did the install in about 1 1/2 hours.” - Jim & Mo

Kristin and friend in back on rv.
Kristin D.I’m happiest outside, whether I’m biking a new trail, exploring a national park, or with my family in our camper. We even hit the road for a few months during COVID. Big adventure or quick weekend, I’m always up for time in the wild with a good view and good coffee.

Jackie on a ATV.
Jackie L.When I'm not grinding away at work, you'll find me kicking back on sandy shores or getting my hands dirty with some good ol' DIY or diving deep into the mysteries of true crime. I'm all about that work-hard-play-hard life, with a side of suspense!

Lauren on a river bank.
Lauren A.Outside of etrailer, I am just like YOU! I love to camp, hike, bike, kayak, walk my doggo and relax in my hammock on a sunny day. I am a Jeep girl who loves taking the doors off and driving down a back road.
Casey on a hike in the desert.
Casey W.I don’t get to do a lot of hiking or outdoor activity day to day, but when we go on vacation, I always look for nearby trails or scenic spots. I love checking out nature in different parts of the country (that’s when I get most of my adventuring in).
Peggy sitting on a hippo statue.
Peggy H.I’m all about trying new things. I don’t have one go-to outdoor activity. Whether it’s hiking, kayaking, checking out a local park, or something totally new, I'm up for it.
