GSP offers 4 types of CV axles based on your vehicle and riding habits. The OE+ model is an affordable OEM replacement with neoprene boots. The Heavy Duty (HD) axle has a stronger shaft and TPEE boots that are better than OEM axles. The Xtreem Duty (XD) is 30% stronger than OEM axles and includes a thicker shaft for riding hard and racing. The XD is often used on lifted vehicles. The Xtended axle is a specialty product for those with long travel suspensions. It includes the same quality features of the HD axle but is longer to accomodate different builds.

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're taking a look at our GSP Heavy Duty CV Axle Assembly for the Rear. Now, folks, this is a custom-fit part. Again, as I mentioned, it's made for the rear. This particular guy fits a 2011 through 2015 Can-Am Commander, both the 800 and 1,000 series.
Now, that being said, make sure you're double checking the Fit Guide here at etrailer.com. Top-center of the homepage where it says My Vehicle Information, enter things like your make and model, make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, as I just said, this does fit the rear-left or right position. Now, this is a nice chance to upgrade your ride with a heavy-duty CV axle with a VS stock. It's a hardened steel alloy shaft.
It is built to resist wear and tear, and it's an upgrade from your OE. Now, because it has an oversized CV joints, it's gonna let you climb through rough terrain and crawl over obstacles with better ease. It does have nice, flexible, yet tough, TPEE boots that are gonna resist tearing and cracking. And as you can see, it comes preassembled right outta the box. So it's a fast installation, and a simple installation as well.
Now, this guy's been packed with a nice, high-performance moly grease to reduce friction, and as you can see, the axle nut is included. So just like any axle, it can pivot, and then it can compress in and out as needed to get the job done. There's a side view and another view. Now, this is a direct replacement for a lot of parts, so I'll throw those up on the screen real quick. If you need to pause the video just to confirm this is a fit for yours, go ahead and do so now.
While that's up there, I will tell you it is made of a 40 XC material, has a one-year limited warranty, and the overall extended length is 29.21 inches long. And if you compress it together, it comes down to 26.97 inches. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look at this Heavy Duty CV Axle. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching. And, again, check the Fit Guide to make sure it fits your vehicle.
