Can Husky 26,000 Fifth Wheel Hitch Work With 20k Reese Rails On 2012 Ford F-350

Question:

I have bought a heavier toyhauler and need a bigger hitch. Looking at the Husky 26K. I currently have A Reese Pro Series 20K hitch and wanted to know if the Husky would cross over to them. . TV is a 2012 F350 Fx4. I have bags installed on rear so cannot use fitted brackets for truck, the bags mounting hardware utilize bolt holes that the fitted brackets would use. If the 20k rails will not work can you suggest some universal brackets that would work on my truck for the Husky 26k. No drill would be nice if they make them in universal kits for my truck. Thank you for your time

If you have standard rails installed for your 20K Reese fifth wheel hitch on your 2012 Ford F-350 with the 8 ft bed, you can attach the 26,000 lb hitch like the Husky Silver Series 5th Wheel Hitch, part # HT31318-31325. You will want to check your owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the towing weight capacity for your truck.

I spoke with my contact at Reese and they told me that their bed rails are limited to 22,000 lbs. It would not be necessary to install a different set of rails in the bed of your truck. I have attached a product review video for this hitch you can check out.

To secure your fifth-wheel hitch to standard base rails, I recommend using a lock like part # TR63254. I have attached a product review video for this lock.
