Does the Computer of a 2013 Dodge Journey Need to Be Reset to Install Trailer Wiring

Hi I am hearing conflicting info. Do you need to have the computer reset when you have the hitch wiring installed on the 2013 journey

I spoke with my contact at Tow Ready and verified that your 2013 Dodge Journey will not have to be reprogrammed if you install the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118536. This wiring harness will use the factory connectors at the back of each tail light assembly to provide signals to the 4-way connector.
I know some Dodge vehicles will come with a factory trailer connector tucked away under the rear of the vehicle and in order to use the factory installed connector the body control module must be rewired by the dealer to activate the tow package wiring. Your vehicle will not have to be rewired or reprogrammed with this wiring harness because it will not require the use of tow package wiring.
