Wiring For Replacement Solenoid On Superwinch S5000
Question:
I have a superwinch s series 5000 part 1450200 and need a switching solinoid which has a part number UNI0609 on it. Your replacement 89-24429 showes 4 bolt on terminals whereas mine has only 3. Will the replacement part work and what is the extra terminal used for?

I have attached a page from the S5000 winch that shows where the solenoid is wired on the winch. I spoke with my contact at Superwinch and they said this will work for your S5000 winch.
They told me that the 4 large posts on the top are used for the following: Red to the battery positive, Black to the battery negative, Blue and Yellow attach to the winch. There are also 3 spade terminals that attach to the socket for the handheld remote. The center spade terminal is for the negative wire and the two outer terminals are activation posts.
