Removing Bezel On 2008 GMC Sierra Pickup Tailgate

Question:
Apparently the bezel on 2008 model does not snap off like 2007 and earlier models. Can you give instructions on how to get the bezel off on 2008 model. Thanks

I pulled one of the PILOT Integrated OEM Tailgate Lock, part # LH-008 from our warehouse and looked at the installation instructions. You will need to use caution when inserting a screwdriver under your bezel to pry it free. I spoke with my contact at PILOT and they told me there should not be any difference in the way your bezel is removed.
If you feel the retaining clips are not in those locations or are extremely difficult to work with I recommend contacting your dealership to see if they can offer suggestions on how to safely remove the bezel on your truck.
