It sounds to me as if you have blown a fuse or fuses in some way. I would begin by dis-connecting any trailer or other item connected to the 4-Way connector on the vehicle. Once this is done use a circuit tester, item # PTW2993 if needed, to check the connector and see if the functions of the newly installed trailer connector are working. If the trailer wiring harness is not working, then I would disconnect the wiring harness from the vehicle completely. If this does not restore the window, alarm, horn and cigarette lighter functions check the owner's manual for the location of the fuse panel for each of these items. Once the fuse panel is located check the underside of the cover for the fuses for each function that is not working. Check the corresponding fuses to make sure they are not blown and if they are, replace them with the correct amperage fuse. Once all fuses are working correctly check the functions again. If these functions are still not working, you will need to check with a qualified mechanic to be sure there is not some other situation causing the electrical problem.
If all functions are then working properly, I would attempt to install the trailer wiring harness again. Pay close attention that you plug the connectors in line with the proper connectors on the vehicle and on the correct sides. Once the connector is reinstalled make sure that all of the accessories on the vehicle function properly, before connection anything to the trailer wiring harness. If the vehicle is functioning properly use the circuit tester to test the trailer harness for correct function. If the trailer harness is working properly, check the trailer or other accessory that is to be used with the harness for a short or other problem before attaching it to the wiring harness. This should keep you from having the same problem again. If the trailer wiring harness is not working properly before connecting to a trailer you will need to test the wires going into and coming out of the converter (black box) to see if it has been shorted out. If the wiring functions are going into the converter and not coming out, the converter has also been shorted and will require replacement.
