If you have the factory installed side rails and crossbars on your 2014 Audi Q5 TDI, you can take a couple of measurements to make certain you find a cargo box that will not interfere with the rear hatch opening. you will want to measure from the center of the front crossbar rearward to the gap between the roof and the rear hatch. That will give you the front clearance.

The Thule Sidekick, part # TH78GC, has a front clearance measurement of 36 inches. The minimum spacing between the crossbars is 23-5/8 inches and the maximum distance is 28 inches.

If you do not have the factory crossbars but have the flush mounted side rails that run front to back I recommend the Thule WingBar Roof Rack System. This system features crossbars that are considered some of the quietest available and T-slots in the crossbars that will accommodate many accessories.

To order the Thule WingBar system you will need to order part # TH710601 and part # TH186025 for the feet and fit kit. For the crossbars use # TH711200 for silver or # TH711220 for black.

You will want to check your owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed your Q5 roof weight capacity.
