Troubleshooting A Non-Working Trailer Wire Harness On A 2012 Honda Pilot EX-L

Question:
I purchased the flat 4 Trailer wiring kit for the 2012 Honda pilot, mine is an EX L model. I have installed all the wiring, and the fuses under the hood. I have 2 7.5 fuses and a relay left over. I Installed the black box behind the Aux Fuse panel. Mine already had the wiring from the factory installed from there to the spot above the exhaust inside the rear bumper. The lights do not work. I have a tester that you plug in, Nothing and i have a set of Magnetic lights trailer lights i have tried that do not work either. There are no inline fuses on my black voltage box. However it looks like it has been installed once already, it has double sided tape residue on the back. Any guidance ? thank you Matt Taylor

Hey Matt,
If you're referring to the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118558 then you shouldn't have any leftover fuses or relays. The relays need to be installed on the wire harness and the 30 amp FMX/JCASE fuse needs to be installed in the secondary engine compartment fuse box in fuse port 3 (trailer main). Without the fuses and relays installed the trailer connector will have no power.
What wire harness did you purchase?
