Can the Thule RodVault 2 Rooftop Fly Rod Carrier Be Mounted Underneath Roof Rack Crossbars

Question:

I have a 23 Jeep Rubicon with the sky one touch top and only have 2inch of clearance between my crossbars and my garage door opening. Can this fly rod box be hung below the crossbars between the towers and the crossbar end?

Yes, you can mount the Thule RodVault 2 Rooftop Fly Rod Carrier # TH27YV hanging below the crossbars on your 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. I've confirmed this with my contact at Thule.

Thanks Jon! I'm using Rhino Rack 8in towers and a 60 in crossbars...looks like I need crossbars that are a little longer as well. Thanks again!

@Keith The next size up from your 59" Vortex Bars # RRVA150B-2 would be the 65" Vortex Crossbars # RRVA165B-2. Since there is a slot underneath that measures 11-3/4" long you'll want to measure and make sure you have no more than 41-1/2" between the innermost parts of the roof rack legs, otherwise the longer crossbars won't fit.
