we may be getting a small travel trailer and have a 2024 mazda CX-90. Does this hitch meet the towing capacity of the car?

It does; while I always caution it's very important to verify any towing capacities with the vehicle manufacturer, when I looked up the owner's manual for your 2024 Mazda CX-90 it said the max towing capacity was either 3,500 lbs or 5,000 lbs, depending on how your CX-90 was configured. Either way, that is 100% within the capabilities of the Curt hitch that fits, which is the following part number:

The # C25FV has a 5,000 lb towing and 500 lb tongue weight capacity so it can handle as much as your CX-90 can tow.
