How Can I Mount The Thule Hullavator Pro to My 2023 Tesla Model Y?

Question:

Can a Thule Hullavator Pro be used on 2023 Tesla Model Y? I see an existing answer with part numbers for Tesla model 3, not sure if the same is applicable to model Y? Currently I have these parts below on my Tucson, what would I need to replace to be able use my Hullavator or is it not possible? Should I get the Tesla OEM roof rack or it looks like maybe Yakima can work with the Hullavator / Tesla? So all those parts you currently have for your Tucson, the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711200, the Evo Flush Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars - Flush Side Rails # TH710601, and the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Flush Rail and Edge Flush Rail Roof Rack Feet # TH186013 is not going to be transferrable to your 2023 Tesla Model Y unfortunately.

Your best bet is to use the OEM Model Y roof rack and then you'll then be fine to mount the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs - Saddle Style - Universal Mount # TH898.

So I have a 2023 Tesla Model Y equipped with the OEM roof rack bars (elliptical). Your comment above says that you can use the Hullivator with the OEM roof rack for the model Y tesla but the literature for the Hullivator pro states that the roof rack should extend 4"-8" outside of the mounts. Are you certain that if I buy the Hullivator for my Tesla Y with the OEM roof rack that the Hullivator bars will not hit the side of the car when I lower it? Is there anywhere I can a test fit before purchasing to make sure?

@SM There isn't a test-fit place I'm aware of, unfortunately but as long as the OEM bars for the Model Y have 4" - 8" of overhang you can 100% use the Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898.

@BryceD How about use on Model Y OEM rack bars as regular Kayak carrier, without extender? is there a kit can hold the Thule Hullavator Pro on the OEM rack bars?

@MatthewX There isn't. Like I mentioned above, all you'd need to make sure is that there is at least 4"-8" of overhang on your bars for the Hullavator to work. As long as you have that, you're good.
