Will The Replacement Advent Air RV Air Conditioner Replace A Coleman Mach Air Conditioner
Published 03/03/2023 >
Question:
I have a 2008 Jayco Greyhawk 31ss that has a RVP/Airxcel AC, model 9203C876, with a Colmen-Mach wall mounted thermostat. Late last summer it would no longer produce cool air and after talking to a technician he offered that it would very likely be less expensive in the long run to replace the unit other than attempt to repair it due to its age. After studying the info on your site, it appears that the Advent Air ACM150 or ACCOL150 models would be a direct fit using the already installed thermostat as well as the interior cover and mounting plate. Am I correct?

Yes, the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup # ACCOL150 is going to come with an adapter cable to plug into your current system's controller. Essentially all you'll be doing is swapping out the rooftop condenser unit and will retain use of your current air distribution box and thermostat.
To swap them out you'll remove the plenum covering the air distribution box and you'll see a bolt in each corner of the opening that clamps the air distribution box and rooftop unit to the ceiling of the trailer. You can unplug the wire harness hanging down from the rooftop unit from the controller and then lift the unit out of the way and replace it with the new one.
The wire harness adapter will connect to the wire harness on the new unit and allow you to plug it back in to the controller and you can then bolt it in place.
