What is Maximum Offset for Yakima Slim Shady 8 ft When Mounted on Crossbar Spread of 43 inches

Question:
Hello, I have a 14 Tacoma double cab short bed with a Snugtop Rebel shell. I am currently running the factory crossbars above the cab. Im thinking of purchasing a Yakima Slim Shady 8foot awning and mounting it to the front factory roof bars and offsetting it towards the back so that it covers a decent portion if not all of the back half of the side of the truck. My question is: What is the maximum I can offset the shade towards the back if I mount it to the factory cross bars in the front which have a span of about 43inch and each bar is about 2inch wide.

Since you have such a wide crossbar spread at 43 inches you basically could fully offset the Yakima Slim Shady 8 part # Y96VR since it requires that you do not have more than 67 inches on either side of between the two crossbars. I won't bore you with the math but due to the wider spread there's enough support to fully offset the awning like you are wanting.
