Can 2 Kayaks be Placed on the SportRack Foam Block Kayak Carrier on a 2007 Toyota Highlander

Updated 07/11/2013 | Published 07/10/2013

Question:

I have an 07 Toyota Highlander. I have two 31inch sit on top kayaks. Would this product work if I wanted to sit the two kayaks side by side on top of my suv? Or can I stack the two kayaks one on top of the other with this prouct underneath the bottom one? Thank you.

You would only use 1 kayak per foam block carrier, # RL100K10. Stacking them on top of each other would cause some clearance and wind drag issues and could damage the kayaks. The blocks are not wide enough to stack kayaks side by side. You would need 2 of the foam block systems to secure 2 kayaks. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual or Toyota for the capacity of the roof so you do not exceed it.

If your Highlander has a roof rack or you want other options for kayak carriers, let me know the roof configuration on the Highlander (side rails that run front to back, crossbars that run side to side, both, or neither) and I will offer some other options.
