Troubleshooting A Jensen RV TV That Won't Play Movies Through The USB Port

If a USB device connected to the tv is not recognized, the list of files on the device could either be corrupted or not supported by the tv. A USB is rarely a guarantee of video playback on a TV if you were trying to use to watch movies that you have downloaded or copied from your computer onto a USB drive. Exactly what movies you can watch depends on your set, the video files and possibly even the USB drive itself.

The Jensen LED RV TV part # JE2417 has a USB that is designed for smaller task than stored movies which means it will only work with JPEG, MP3 and WMA files of 16GB or less. The USB function for video is more meant for plugging in a device that will play the movie. You would need to use some sort of adapter cable that runs from your device to the USB port on your tv and play the movie on that device for it to show up on the tv.

I have a Jensen JWM-452 DVD/stereo in my Grand Design camper. It will not play Blu-Ray DVDs. If I get an external Blu-Ray player that has a USB 3.0 port, can I plug it into the Jensen USB port and play Blu-Rays THAT way?

@Mike Blu-Ray is mostly owned by Sony so you'd have to have one of their branded Blu-Ray players and wire it to the stereo using an HDMI cable. The USB port in the front of the JWM452 stereo is only for MP3 and WMA files.
