Can A Car With A Roof Basket Be Taken Through A Car Wash?
Question:
Can a car with the aluminum roof basket drive through a mechanized car wash without removing the basket? A friend mounted mine and its on so tight, I dont think I can get it off. I dont want to damage the basket or my car!

With all the nooks and crannies in a roof basket, like your Stallion # 288-09200, I strongly suggest not going through a mechanized car wash. However, there will be no issue going through a no touch style one as there is nothing that could get caught on the basket. If this is not an option though, you will need to remove the basket, unfortunately.
If you cannot get enough purchase on the knobs to loosen them, you might try using a crescent wrench. This sounds weird, but it may allow you to get enough purchase and torque to get the knobs started.
