Is there a Replacement For the Atwood g6a-7 Water Heater

Question:

I know this model has been discontinued (Atwood g6a-7). Is there another heater with the same dimensions? 16w x 12.5t I’m having trouble finding one that will fit in the hole I already have.

The Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR will work to replace your current Atwood g6a-7 water heater. The dimensions are slightly different, they are 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep instead of the 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep you currently have (there is not an option that matches your current dimensions). To accommodate for the size difference you will use the Water Heater Door Conversion Kit # DMC24FR for a black door.

This water heater is made in the USA, CSA certified, and recovers up to 12 gallons of water per hour. It will have the same 6-gallon tank capacity as your old water heater. Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier.
