Question:
Can I just plug this harness into the available plugs on my 2019 pathfinder or do I need one that has a jumper harness with it? What does the jumper harness do?

The Connectors on the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM43534 do appear to be similar but they do have small differences. So this connector will not properly fit your 2019 Nissan Pathfinder.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 118273 is the correct kit needed for your Pathfinder. The jumper harness and relays that are included are necessary for the 7-way to function properly. The jumper harness is what will send power from the vehicles wiring to the 7-way for the taillights.
