What does memory mean? I have a 2003 Avalon XLS. Am needing a replacement drivers side mirror with heat.

In regards to vehicle mirrors the memory function is a saved setting that is typically associated with also seat position. Typically near the mirror adjustment buttons are a couple settings buttons that you can save mirror positions and seat positions. This is useful if more than one person drives the vehicle and there is a height difference.
