Recommended Bike Rack for 2015 VW Golf Compatible with Trailer Being Used Simultaneously

I two a Silvansport pop-up camper with a total weight of 830 lbs. with my 2015 VW Golf. Id like to add a 2-bike rack and still be able to tow the camper The Swagman Travel XC5 Platform Style seemed like the right idea but I only have a class 1, 1.25inch tow bar. The Swagman only seems to fit 2inch mounts. Im wondering if the Thule Roadway 2-bike rack, which has a 1.25inch option, can be modified. Can the bar that attaches to the tilting mechanism be replaced with my current ball mount bar? I would like the option of using the bike rack with my camper AND without my camper.

The Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9058 is compatible with the class I trailer hitch receiver on your 2015 VW Golf but not at the same time as you tow a trailer. If you want to tow and carry bikes, then you will need a trunk mounted bike carrier like the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # SA805BL which can be used with or without the trailer.
