The Thule Insta-Gater Truck Bed Bike Rack # TH501 was discontinued. redesigned, and replaced by the Thule Insta-Gater PRO # TH93VR. Thule upgraded all the aspects of the bike rack from the hook mount to the cable lock to the frame's structure. The Thule Insta-Gater Pro # TH501 basically looks and works better.

My favorite part of the redesign is the wheel cradle. The older version # TH501 had a slanted stand that you had to fit your wheel into and could only accommodate 3" wide tires. The Insta-Gater Pro has an elevated and robust wheel cradle that can fit up to 5" tires and actually cradles your tire in place. I attached a video if you want to see the newer bike rack in action.
