Replacement for 7-14.5 Trailer Tire Size

Question:

My dad has given me a homemade trailer that has an ODD wheel and tire combo on it. The tires are 7-14.5 size. The wheel is a rim with no center. It s bolted to a large hub that has 5 bolts and square thick washers under each bolt head that holds the rim on. The bolts looks to be on a 10.5 to a 11 inch bolt circle. Any help would be appreciated?

It sounds like you're describing a mobile home-style of hub that would use a wheel clamp like part # 15-2.

While we don't have a replacement wheel for you, we do have the Kenda 8-14.5LT Bias Trailer Tire which comes in a load range F # AM10333 or G # AM10289 and has similar dimensions to your current 7-14.5 tire. These tires have a section width of 8" and an overall diameter of 27.7" so as long as you can still maintain at least 2" of tire-to-trailer-frame and 4" of tire-to-fender clearances then you can definitely use this tire!

If you're wanting to start using a tire/wheel combo that is more common then you will need to change out your hubs and possibly your axle as well. If you can let me know what bearings and seals you currently have then I can see if we have any newer hub-styles with current bolt patterns that are compatible. Attached is a helpful article on bearings and seals that you can check out.
