hello, the manufacture rates this car to tow 3500 lbs. Can you help take the confusion out of the fact that you offer about 3 hitch versions. I al specifically interested in the Stealth hitch capable of towing 6000 lbs. I have a 92 Toyota MR2 I need to tow to the track which weights in at 2700lbs. I checked with Uhaul who will rent me a trailer if I get the 6000 Stealth hitch. Help me understand!!!!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13272 is the highest capacity hitch for the 2016 Lexus RX350 with a 4,000lb gross trailer weight rating. The Stealth hitch is a great option however it is not a confirmed fit for this vehicle.
Hitches are often tested to different capacities because the same hitch model could be used on multiple vehicles. A key point here is that any towing setup is always limited by it's lowest rated component. What that means is a hitch rated for 6,000lbs will not give a vehicle with a 3,500lb capacity that boost to tow 6,000lbs.
If the UHaul trailer you're referring to is the their flatbed trailer with 5,290lb capacity, it weighs 2,210lbs without the 1992 MR2 so I would make other arrangements using a tow vehicle with sufficient capacity or other arrangement to tow your MR2.
