So there are two fuses associated with the brake controller power circuit for your 2009 Ford F-150 that you need to check. The fuse 33 in the panel that's on the interior of the vehicle and the number 17 that's under the hood. It sounds like the under hood fuse is the one that's blown on your truck and would be what you need to replace as it's a 30 amp fuse which is the more amperage associated with powering a brake controller.
