Question:
Will the 3.5-8 tire fit on my rim that currently has 4.8-8 tires on it?
asked by: Derek B
Expert Reply:
A smaller 3.5-8 tire will not be able to fit in place of a 4.80/4.00-8 tire such as the Kenda Loadstar K371 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80/4.00-8 - Load Range B # AM10002 (590 lb capacity) or Load Range C # AM10004 (745 lb capacity).
The reason is the smaller section width, because 4.80/4.00-8 tires fit 8" x 3-3/4" rims such as Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20008 (Galvanized) or # AM20006 (White) and a 3.5-8 tire is not wide enough to fit.
I have added links to video reviews of each of the tires and wheels for you to check out as well.
