I spoke to the tech at Rear View Safety regarding the Rear View Safety Wireless Hitch Camera part # RVS-83112 and they said the most common reason of the time out error while pairing is the customer is not holding down both the pair button on the monitor and the power button on the camera for at least 10 seconds. If you are not holding these two buttons down for at least 10 seconds the system will time out. Please let me know if this doesn't work for you and we can continue troubleshooting.
