Are Atwood 85736 and 85841 Master Cylinders Available Any Longer

Question:

I understand that the 85736 and 85841 is no longer available unless someone has one in stock. What is the replacement option for this unit. My receiver is welded on so I would rather not cut it off unless this is my only option.

Atwood master cylinders 85736 and 85841 that you referenced have been discontinued when Atwood was bought out and there aren't direct replacement parts that are compatible. Really the only option is to replace the coupler. I have attached a link of the hydraulic brake actuators we have available.

The current actuator on our trailer is welded to the boxed frame rails. Will be able to weld the Demco 8605001 onto the frame ?Thank you.

The Demco is technically a bolt-on coupler, but if you really wanted to weld it to the frame instead that wouldn't be a problem. You'll need to cut off the existing actuator first.

You mean to tell me that you have to change out the whole trailer tongue? What moron came up with this idea. Hard to believe that there is no alternative. I have a 1928 Pontiac that I can still get some parts for. My trailer is a 1995.

@Kris yes, I converted it to electric trailer brake kit that I got from etrailer & was the best thing I ever did. Good luck with all.
