Can NOCO Genius UltraSafe Charger be Used to Charge Two 6-Volt Batteries

Updated 06/18/2019 | Published 06/17/2019

Question:

I have two 6 volt deep cycle Trojan Motive T-125 Plus in series in my trailer. I need to get a charger and maintainer for storage during off season. Is it better to charge the 6 volt batteries separately or in series? Separately would require two 6 volt chargers. Would two Noco genius G3500 work? What are your thoughts. Many Thanks.

For a battery bank that has two 6 volt batteries wired in series for an output of 12 volts you can charge them in series and you'd be fine. You can also store them with a trickle charger and that will work decently too. So you could use the NOCO Genius UltraSafe Charger part # 329-G26000 to charge them both with it's 12 volt setting or you could put a charger on each battery and charge them in the 6 volt setting. For a long term storage situation I'd use a charger for each battery though. This allows the charger to read each battery specifically and give it the exact maintenance charge it would need.
