Troubleshooting Hissing Sound From RV Stereo

Question:
Hello, My new RV has the 324-000138 installed. There is always a shhhhhhh sound coming from the speakers. This sound is noticeable when in FM mode, AM mode, Bluetooth mode playing music from my iphone and the shhhhh sound is constant even when nothing is playing. I have not played a DVD as of yet. A note to this: The first time I turned the stereo on, I used it in bluetooth mode, when done listening, I was not able to turn the stereo off. It did not matter which button I pushed, nothing changed....as if it was locked up. To get it to shut off, I used my battery disconnect. Is it normal for the shhhh sound?

Hissing or white noise through stereo speakers is typically a wiring issue. Almost always it's related to the ground wire of the stereo either being too long or not a heavy enough gauge wire. If you can I'd try improving the ground of the stereo and that should take care of the hiss you are hearing through the speakers.
Hum is usually related to grounding but hiss is usually inherent to the noise level in the circuit.
If that does not fix it then I'd try new speaker wire as poor speaker wire can cause this as well.
