Troubleshooting Furrion DVD Player that Wont Play

Question:

Can’t get DVD player to work

We can definitely help do some troubleshooting of your Furrion HDMI Stereo # DV3300SBL that's not playing DVDs.

First, ensure the players video output has a good connection with the TV's video input. Then make sure you have turned your TV to the AV input channel connecting to your player. Next, check whether the video connector is damaged if you still are not getting video. Finally, make sure you have the right video output connection on your player.

If none of this fixes the issue then use a small screwdriver or paper clip to press the reset button on the front of the unit to reboot the factory default setting and reinstate the correct functions. If the issue remains let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot.

If just the DVD audio is working then the TV might just be switched on the wrong source. Toggle through the different source options on the TV until you land on one that shows the picture (as well as the sound). If this doesn't work check the connections at the back of both the stereo/DVD player and the TV to make sure everything is correct. Please let me know what you find and we will go from there.

Have you tried resetting the unit as described above? You might also try to blow some air into the opening to make sure there isn't some debris that's causing issues. Let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

Try resetting the unit as mentioned above to see if that works. We at least know that the opening itself is clear of debris or mechanical issue since CDs are inserting and playing fine. I'm sure you've already tried other DVDs, but also make sure the DVD itself isn't faulty.

Scott, our issue is a little different. Ours will start too play the DVD and then stops. It will start by showing the language selection from the DVD menu of the disk. Then no matter what language you choose it will start counting then abruptly stops. Tried multiple DVDs with no joy. Thx

The best advice I can give is to try and reset the unit using the small reset pin hole on the face. If it still doesn't work when it comes back on there's likely an internal fault and it will need to be replaced. I wish I could offer a better solution.

When trying to play a dvd in our trailer it just keeps saying loading.. then will stop finally but won’t play the movie I’ve reset the player and made sure all the connections are good. Do you have any other ideas of what to do to play the dvd.

The only other things I can think of are doing a hard reset by completely removing power from the stereo for a good couple of minutes, and making sure that your DVD isn't scratched. You might even try using a different DVD to see if for some reason it's the actual disc.

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried everything and it will not work. I’ve only use it a few times. Very disappointing!!

Becky, have you tried to blow it out with some canned air? That is the only other thing that I can think of that may help other than the normal reset/hard resets. If it is a newer unit I would call the manufacturer about warranty issues.
