Is Firman 10,000 Watt Generator 4 Stroke or 2 Stroke Engine
Question:
I read a report on firman testing that tested a twin cyl. engine generator for 2000 hrs. and it said it was a 10 k consumer gen set. I have not been able to find anything else that mentions such a generator. That would be the perfect size, and engine that I would be looking for. I have much more trust in a twin cyl. engine in the 14 to 20 horse power range.

We have the Firman Generator part # 333-P08003 that you referenced which can put out 10,000 starting watts and 8,000 running watts but this is a 4 stroke engine. Twin stroke or two stroke engines are typically smaller, weigh less and typically are cost effective but they require mixing oil typically, require more maintenance, can be harder to get and keep running, and burn more fuel.
The Firman 4 stroke generator I mentioned is very solid and I would recommend it highly.
