Recommended Bull Bar for a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD

Question:

Hi I was wondering if you guys would have some mounting brackets that would work with the grille guard I have the brand of the grille guard I have is called polar bear Its an old brand because Ive looked them up and had no luck but I was seeing Westin has a similar grille guard as to the one I have and Im in search of some mounting brackets the grille guard is going on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 hd crew cab LS 4x4 6.0L so if you could help me out I appreciate it thank you

The most common misconception we see in regards to grille guards/nerf bars/running boards/bull bars etc. is that you can one) use mounting brackets from one brand on another brand and two) use one of the above items off one vehicle on another with the vehicle specific brackets and that is just not the case. The brackets are brand/vehicle specific and so is the grille guard. I will say that I did check check with Westin and they don't even make a grille guard for a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD.

Therefore, the best option I can offer you is a bull bar as we don't carry a grille guard for a Silverado 1500HD. For this, we have a few options which are listed below. These bull bars are all designed specifically for your Silverado 1500HD and so are the brackets that come with it. If you were to try and use the Polar Bear grille guard you have now and it was not designed for your Silverado 1500HD then most likely the headlight cutouts would not line up and you run the risk of interfering with important sensors.
