Password for Parental Controls on Furrion Stereo # DV3100

Question:

On some movies the system asks for a password what is it. It wont let us watch movies

I was able to track down the instructions manual for your Furrion Stereo # DV3100 and it appears the parental controls are at work on your system. Out of the box this unit will be defaulted to lock on certain movies and the default/factory password is "0000".

To change the parental control settings you just need to select PASSWORD from the system setup menu, enter the above passord (0000) and it will then allow you to change when the parental controls are activated. You can also change the password from this screen if desired.

I looked further into this and when entering/setting a password for the first time, you must enter it twice (hitting OK after each time). Try punching in 0000 again and then repeating it after hitting OK. This should unlock the disc so that you can change the settings and play your movie (I just watched Little Women last week - it's a good one).

@JamieM I also am having this problem. A work around is to go to scene selection instead of pressing play. Then start at scene 1.

We keep putting the password in to unlock the disc, but it won’t unlock. It just keeps asking for the password over and over again.

I'm really sorry you're having this issue. The only other thing I can think to try is to reset the unit by pressing into the "reset" button at the front of the stereo. Once it's back on hopefully the default password should work again.

@Jenny I was having the same issue, I’d enter the password and get an error message. I could watch if I used scene selection but that was annoying me lol After searching the set up menus I found I had to unblock the rating settings on the TV itself for av, component, HDMI 1,2 and so on…there is a toggle to block - unblock. This can be found in the TV setup lock menu. Also found info in the furrion tv manual pg 17. Hope this helps.
