Can the Rightline Truck Bed Tent be Installed Over a Tonneau Cover

For starters, if you have a 2018 Ford F-150 with the 6-1/2' long bed then you are going to want to use the Rightline Truck Bed Tent part # RL110730, not part # RL110710 which is for an 8' long bed. With that being said you would need to remove your tonneau cover to install the tent even with it folded up against the cab. The reason for this is how the tent attaches to the rear of the bed behind the cab which you can see in the attached photo. There would be no way to attach it if the tonneau cover were still in place.

@MatthewG Hi Matthew, Could you further explain your comment "Yes, I do this all the time give me a shelf for the kid to sleep on". Rightline Gear 110730 I have a 3 piece folding topper and believe I could fold 2 sections onto the 3rd section and leave the 3rd section flat. I believe the tent would fit this way. I know I cannot raise the last section as it rests up against the rear truck window and this prevents a good seal . Is this how you set it up and have the kids sleep on top of the folded sections? Thank for any input.
