Using NOCO Genius GEN4 Battery Charger for Two 12V Batteries and Four 6V Batteries
Question:
I have 2 12 volt start batteries and 4 Trojan 6volt batteries for coach power. Would the Gen 4 be the unit to use for this application? I would plug the ac cord into the 10K gen and it would supply current to the charger. How would I connect to the 2 12volt start batteries and 4 6volt Trojan batteries?

I spoke with my contact at NOCO regarding the use of the GEN4 Genius On-Board Battery Charger # 329-GEN4 for your application. She stated that this will work great to charge your two 12V batteries and four 6V batteries.
What you will need to do is pair up the four 6V batteries and wire each of the two pairs in series so they have a 12V output (see attached image). Once you do this you will hook up the terminal ends of the GEN4 as follows:
- Bank 1 to the first 12V battery
- Bank 2 to the second 12V battery
- Bank 3 to the first pair of 6V batteries wired in series (positive terminal from GEN4 to positive terminal of output/first battery and negative terminal from GEN4 to negative terminal of second battery)
- Bank 4 to the second pair of 6V batteries wired in series(positive terminal from GEN4 to positive terminal of output/first battery and negative terminal from GEN4 to negative terminal of second battery)
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also check out.
