According to what I could find online it looks like the towing capacity of your 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 can vary from 7,300 lbs - 8,550 lbs depending on your tire size, bed length, and axle ratio. I wasn't able to access an online version of the owner's manual so if you have one handy that would be the best place to look.

If you don't have an owner's manual then what you can do is check the sticker in your driver's side door jamb for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and the Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR). Subtract the GVWR from the GCWR and that will let you know how much you can tow. You can also contact your local Dodge Ram dealer with your VIN and they can let you know your weight capacity.

Please keep in mind that this figure is usually calculated with the scenario that there are 2 adults in the pickup with no cargo.

I have attached a link to our fit guide for your Dodge Ram. You will need a trailer hitch, wiring, a ball mount kit (or weight distribution system), and possibly a brake controller to tow your trailer. If you let me know what you are still needing I can make some recommendations for you.
