On your 2014 Jeep Cherokee the following are the tow package fuses and locations:

Trailer tow left stop/turn light fuse in location F43
Trailer parking/running light fuse is location F40
Trailer tow/7-Way connector if equipped in location F44
Trailer tow right stop/turn light fuse is in location F72
Trailer tow backup light fuse in location F84
Trailer Tow Module - If Equipped With Gasoline Engine in location F99

On the lid of the fuse box under the hood there will be a legend that also shows the functions and locations. In all likelihood if it is a fuse that is bad it is probably the F99 or F44 location.

I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee with factory tow package. No trailer lights are working. I know my trailer works cause it works when I use my wifes car. There is no fuse in F99. Book says not is use. Should I put one in and try it? What size? 30 amp?

I checked the online version of the owner's manual for your 2015 Jeep Cherokee and it looks like the towing fuse locations are a bit different than the ones Mike pointed out for the 2014 model. You'll want to check the 30A fuse in the F44 position along with the 20A fuses in the F40, F57, F61, and F73 locations. I'd pay special attention to the 30A fuse at F44, as this looks to be the main power source fuse for the factory 7-Way. Let me know what you find and we can go from there.

@ChrisR my trailer jack is powered through the 7 way off my 2016 Grand Cherokee Summit hemi. Yesterday the jack and light went dead. All other trailer lights still work. Please let me know which fuse(s) to check? Thanks!

@MarkW In your engine compartment look at the fuse block and check F30. If that isn't it then you'll want to check your copy of the owner's manual for anything that talks about trailer power. You'll also want to check your wiring connections and any grounds (like where your trailer is mounted) to ensure that a bad ground didn't cause the fuse to blow.

My trailer lights worked one day and then I took my Cherokee to the dealer for an update. The next day the trailer lights did not work. I advised the dealer they must have turned off the lights somehow, which of course they denied and I called bs on. Surprise, surprise....when I brought it back they confirmed the update turned off the tow package feature and the light hookup. Perhaps this is what happened to yours.

What about fuses for a non factory install. I had the dealership install a tow hitch/wiring harness at purchase (2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk).

If your Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk doesn't have the tow package then the trailer wiring harness just taps into the Jeep's tail lights. There wouldn't be any fuses under the hood directly tied to trailer wiring. Are you having specific issues with the harness?

@ChrisR My trailor lights didn't work. I found the fuse where the installed wiring harness for the tow hitch connects to my battery- there is a little water proof box attached to the wiring harness, open that and the lone trailer fuse was inside.
