Question:
Hello. The old motor has 1 black, and 1 white wire with a white plastic plug-in connector. The new motor has 2 black wires and no connector. Which wire goes where the white wire was? Does it matter which wire goes where? Thank you.

There is an easy (and fun if you like playing with electric motors, I know I do) way to figure out which wire you will need for power and which for ground on your replacement fan motor. Basically the motor is not polarity sensitive which means that either wire can be power or ground. What changes is the direction the fan will spin. So if you connect it one way and the air is not going in the direction you want you just have to switch the wire positions for it to spin in the opposite direction.
