Will Bag Clips With Cargo Hatch Saddlebag Reduce The Load Capacity If I Attach To Door
Updated 05/08/2018 | Published 05/06/2018 >
Question:
I do not have the roof rack on my 2017 Pacifica so I would need the clips to attach to the door. Does this reduce the load it can handle without causing possible damage to the vehicle where the clips would attach? I’m concerned with possible denying where clips attach.

You are correct, use Car Clips for Rightline Cargo Hatch Saddlebag # RL100605 since you do not have a roof rack for your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The hatch will close easily over the hooks. Just thread the hooks onto the top 2 straps of the Cargo Saddlebag # RL100B90. Keep in mind that the bag weighs 10 lbs has a 100 lb weight capacity. As long as you don't exceed the weight capacity of the # RL100B90, hanging the saddle bag on the rear hatch will not reduce the load it can handle.
After the top is secure, you attach the (included) two bottom straps to the hitch, the bumper, or something behind the bumper. If there is nothing down below, you can use this belt strap to go around the middle of the bag, inside the car and around the hatch door securing it in place.
The clips have rubber-coated steel that won't scratch your vehicle's finish. The bag has soft pads at the top of each cargo strap to protect your vehicle from scratches.
