Thanks for your answer to my question about the correct bumper for my 2001 Dodge Dakota. It is item # 31012, but I have one more, sort of loaded, question. In looking for my replacement bumper I had checked other sites and found what appears to be the same bumper, with mounting hdw, for more than a hundred dollars less. My question is this: Can you tell me the difference between the bumpers from competitors and yours with price differences? Your bumper does provide information on hitch and tow weight that the others dont. I Dont want to waste your time but would like to know if possible. I am pretty fussy and want the best replacement bumper for my vehicle. Paying more isnt always a guarantee of the best quality. Thanks for your time.

The Westin Perfect Match Series Rear Step Bumper - Chrome Plated Steel # 31012 is the same as the original on your 2001 Dodge Dakota club cab. It ill be a perfect match for your vehicle.

The Westin Perfect Match Series Rear Step Bumper - Chrome Plated Steel # 31012 we carry is rated for bumper towing up to 3,000 lbs with a tongue weight of 300 lbs. As you stated the other manufacturer have not posted their ratings so it is possible they may not have tested their product to the same extent. I honestly can't compare manufacturers products that I'm not familiar with based on price and photo. What I can give you is what I know about our Westin Product which is that it is well made, has a 3 year warranty and based on the reviews we have received, customers have been pleased. Everything will fit perfectly and the quality will be the same as the OEM product.
