Is the HydraStar XL Brake Actuator and Brake Controller a Reliable Brake Solution

Hey Guys Your website is awesome and very informative! I am interested in getting a hydrastar XL as we switch cars every 6 months, but am hearing some negative reviews regarding the circuit boards failing. Have you guys had many issues with them?

We haven't heard anything negative about the Cargo Towing HydraStar XL brake controller part # HBAC10-CLR. The HydraStar actuators are a favorite here as they tend to be the most reliable and best performing. This specific unit is really nice because it comes with it's own remote brake controller so you don't have to also install a controller on your tow vehicle.
You would just need to bring the remote with you to the new car and you'd be set.
This specific unit is for drum brake applications.
