5th Wheel Towing Capacity of 2007 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Cab
Question:
We know the inside door sticker states 1475. How does that calculate into purchase of fifth? Does that mean ANY fifth under 1475 pin is safe? 2007 tundra maxcab

I suggest you check your owner's manual to confirm your Tundra's towing capacity since this can vary a lot based on engine, drive train bed length and whether any tow package upgrades have been installed. I think the 1475-lb figure you found may be a payload capacity, not a towing capacity.
I reviewed an online edition of the owner's manual for the 2007 Toyota Tundra and on page 581 there is a Towing Capacity chart for the CrewMax cab version. I have linked that chart for your reference. The lowest towing capacity shown is 6200-lbs and the highest is 10,400-lbs for the 2WD with 5.7L V8.
The linked page for 5th wheel installations will let you choose your Tundra's bed length; you will then see the appropriate setups for that bed. If you have a 6-1/2-foot bed you can use a sliding type 5th wheel such as the 16K-rated Pro Series PS30857. This can be installed with custom kit # RP30035-309 which includes the base rails into which the hitch will mount along with the under-bed brackets that are secured to the frame. For an in-bed wiring harness you can use part # 51-97-412.
There are 5th wheels made with lightweight construction, such as Jayco's Ultra Lite series, Keystone Cougar X-Lite and Rockwood's Signature Ultra Lite. One of these is likely to be your best bet since it is always desirable to have enough capacity, and then some, to give you a safety margin. Towing a trailer that is at your vehicle's upper limit tends to put more stress on engine and transmission cooling systems.
