Will Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 36334 Fit a 2007 Subaru Legacy Outback Sedan

Updated 07/25/2017 | Published 07/24/2017

Question:

To Whom Is Knowledgeable - I contacted U-Haul about installing a hitch they sell for my car, a 2007 Subaru Legacy Outback Sedan. They called me and said the hitch part # 36330 they sell would not match up to the frame so they could not install it. Can you tell me if the hitch you sell will fit my car? Could you check to see if the one you sell, part # 36334 is exactly like the one shown on the U-Haul website or not. From what I can tell they are very different from one another, however, I dont want to spend money on something that wont fit and have the hassle of sending it back to you and wait on my refund like I am with U-Haul to the tune of $315. I called Subaru and they said they cant get a hitch for that car. The cars in the video you advertise are for 2008 Legacys like mine. I want to make sure your hitch will work before I buy it. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!!

Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36334 is indeed a fit for your 2007 Subaru Legacy Outback sedan excluding Sport models. I think the problem that you had was the naming conventions of Subaru combined with Uhaul most likely focusing on the Outback part of the vehicle name. But hitch # 36334 does for sure fit the 2007 Legacy Outback sedan. I have linked the installation instructions and a video showing an example installation for you.

Hitch 36330, which is discontinued, fits the Outback Wagon. Not a Legacy Outback wagon, just the regular Outback Wagon; separate model.
