Question:
Is this system actuating with a dead pedal with no vacuum assist like trying to stop a car with the key out and the car in neutral? If no, how is the vehicles vacuum system enabled? Key in ignition or something? Does this function comparably to the stay-n-play duo but just takes longer to setup and is bulkier? We may want to tow 2 different vehicles so portability is a plus.

Expert Reply:
The SMI Delta Force # SM99242 does not use vacuum pressure like the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. The Stay-IN-Play DUO ties into your vehicle's vacuum line and uses it to assist in braking. Since the Delta Force does not it applies more pressure to the pedal (As do many other braking systems) to get the same amount of braking force necessary to slow the vehicle.
