Can 2000 Ford F-250 V10 Tow 8,500 lb Fifth Wheel Trailer

Hi I wanted to know if the vehicle listed below would be OK to tow a 5th wheel camper weight is 8,500 pounds .Please advise and Thanks in advanced. Year:2000 Make:Ford Model:F-250 SD Trim:Lariat SuperCab Long Bed 2WD Mileage:125,591 Trans:Automatic Engine:6.8L V10 SOHC 20V

From the research I did on your 2001 Ford F-250 that has a V10 engine it looks like you have a 14,500 lb towing capacity. That would be more than enough for a 8,500 lb fifth wheel trailer. You should still confirm this with your owners manual though.
The Reese Select Hitch part # RP30081 would be a great hitch too as it is one of the nicest ones available. It has a jaw design that provides excellent king pin contact for a smooth, quiet ride.
For a rail kit you would want to go with a custom fit kit like the part # RP50082-58 as it will minimize drilling and install time over a universal kit.
