Question:
Is a 24ft 5 er safer to tow than lets say a 28 ft er? And can 1 person hitch and unhitch. It. Without help?

As long as either trailer is under the towing capacities for your truck and hitch a 24 foot trailer wouldn't necessarily be any safer than a 28 foot trailer. They would both be just as safe as the other.
One person could pretty easily hitch up a fifth wheel trailer as well. It would just be a matter of opening the jaws of the hitch, and then looking out the back window of the truck to back it up so that the jaws line up and grab the king pin of the trailer. After that you would just need to close the jaws of the hitch and lower the jacks and you would be good to go after connecting the trailer wiring connector.
The Reese Select Plus # RP30081 that you referenced would be an excellent hitch to use. I uses one of the nicest jaw systems on the market that will give you a secure, quiet ride quality. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.

Thank you very much for saying it is doable because even though I’m single I have two dogs and one is a German Shepherd, and they are like having another person .. (except they don’t help, unless you consider protection helping, which I hope she gets used to, but I have camped in tents, and cabins and I find most campers fairly friendly, and she generally goes by “feel.”)
