Installation Of Bestop Trektop Soft Top For 2007 And Up Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Hello, it seems like a pretty big struggle to screw the front two screws on the best top classic to re attach the soft top. is there a better way?

The estimated installation time for installing the Bestop Trektop, part # B7913635 is about 1-1/2 hours as the instructions state, it should be done in warm weather above 72 degrees. This will keep the top pliable and make it easier to install.

I have a link to the installation instructions included that explains the steps in order to make sure you get a good fit.

I called my contact at Bestop and they agreed that it is difficult to get the hand knob screws to tighten and there is simply no easy way to do this. They did add that this is one of the reasons for the newer designed top, the Trektop NX. It is a much easier installation but takes time because of the new frame but may be something you want to take a look at. The Trektop NX they recommend is # B5492235.
