Can Fire Glass be Mixed with Vermiculite in the Fire Dancer Propane Fire Pit

Question:
When using fire glass could you/do you need to use a screen between it and the vermiculite to keep them from mixing during transport? Or is it okay for them to mix?

According to the manufacturer of the Fire Dancer # FD500 you can use fire glass with your Fire Dancer Propane Fire Pit but you will have to put in the vermiculite first and then put the fire glass on top of it. You do not want to mix them in transport. The vermiculite is used to disperse the gas and to keep the bowl cool.
